Pigments - Cie CirkVOST

“Fifty minutes without touching the ground!” This is the challenge CirkVOST takes on with Pigments.

Fifteen metres above the earth, this aerial spectacle demonstrates the true measure of a group’s solidarity. Individuality matters—each of us is unique—but individualism can prove dangerous when personal initiative disregards the group’s constraints. Some will see a stark allegory of modern society; others, a defiant act rebelling against the laws of gravity. Yet all, young and old alike, will savour the intoxicating pleasure of shared flight.

CirkVOST is a French contemporary circus company specialising in aerial disciplines since 2007, when five artists from Arts Sauts decided to continue their aerial experiments together. Today, 30 people of multiple nationalities contribute to this adventure, united by a shared necessity: live performance. As aerial circus creators, the collective offers original and striking scenographies—hallmarks of the company—serving movement, the appropriation of emptiness, and the expression of an eternal struggle not to let go… “One cannot move without the other.” This is the interactive relationship from which no one escapes in CirkVOST’s work—a universal language subtitled in the language of the eyes, ears, and, of course, the heart.
